phillips academy class of 1957
50th reunion website
how to submit essays & photos

We REALLY, REALLY want two contributions from every classmate:
(1) a short essay about who you became since Andover, and what mattered from your PA experience
(2) a current photo so we can recognize you

Text Instructions:
(1) Download this file: essay.rtf (Note: this is a "rich text format" file and should work in any word-processing program. If you can't open it, use the following text file instead: essay.txt
(2) Fill out relevant information using a word processing program. Don't use styles or complex formatting -- the simpler, the better. We found it an interesting project as we tried it ourselves. Take a look at essays already written and posted by your classmates for ideas and inspiration.
(3) Save the file with your initial and last name (e.g., gjohnson.rtf)
(4) Send the file as an e-mail attachment to Arkie Koehl <arkie@arkoehl.com>
(5) Arkie will send you an acknowledgment that the file was received. If edits are needed, he will contact you.

Photo Instructions:
(1) Photos can be submitted either as a digital file or a print. Find a recent photo of yourself, or you with significant other(s). Look for something that does not need much cropping, if any.
(2) For digital photos: photos need to be of good quality (over 500kb for a suitably cropped jpeg file) in order to reproduce well in the reunion book. If you have such a photo, please send it as an e-mail attachment to Tom Terry <thomas.terry@uconn.edu>. IMPORTANT: rename the photo with your last name and first name initial (e.g. "johnsong.jpg" instead of "PICT000467.jpg") - otherwise we may lose track of your identity.
(3) For printed photos, please send a printed photo you can spare - sorry, we can't promise to return it. The publisher will scan the photo and possibly crop. Mail photos to: Tom Terry, 114 Dunham Pond Rd., Storrs, CT 06268. IMPORTANT: write your name on the back of the photo - otherwise we may lose track of your identity.
